The studio

The Hive Ceramics studio is a comprehensive workspace offering small group classes and private events in the heart of San Clemente, CA.  The intention for the studio is to provide a positive and creatively progressive place for experienced, like-minded ceramics enthusiasts and beginning potters who are curious about the world of clay.

The studio is designed for experienced potters who are comfortable working independently with clay through the final glazing process. It is also a small-group teaching facility outfitted to introduce ceramics to a broader audience and educate individuals interested in becoming studio members. All glaze firings are to cone 6.

The studio currently offers the following:

  • 6 Brent wheels

  • Vertical slab roller

  • Northstar extruder

  • 2 hand-building tables

  • 12 studio glazes

  • Underglazes, mason stains, texture tools

  • Glaze formulation station

  • 2 electric Skutt kilns

  • Clay for purchase
