My story

Hi! I’m Sarah. Welcome to The Hive Ceramics. Here’s a little story about how this all came to be…..

While taking a break from my life in the corporate world, I enrolled in a wheel-throwing class offered by the Fine Arts Department at Saddleback College. From the moment I started working with clay, I was hooked and wanted to have my own studio space. However, I really enjoy the collaborative environment that the ceramics community fosters and therefore wanted to create a place where other clay enthusiasts, novice or experienced, can get their hands muddy. Thus spawned The Hive Ceramics.

Eternally on the path of discovery in form, function, and texture, my style is simple and clean, but I also enjoy exploring new techniques for creating detailed designs to my work.
